The Town of Bayfield is a statutory municipality and is governed by an elected Town Board comprised of the Mayor and six board members. The Town Board is the governing and legislative body for the Town and is responsible for adopting laws, ordinances, and resolutions as deemed necessary.

Dr. Rick K. Smith – Mayor
Dr. Rick K. Smith is the Mayor for the Town of Bayfield. He is an Information System Director for a local company and has lived in Town since 1984. Rick served as Town Trustee for 6 years before being elected to the Mayoral position in April of 2008. His term as Mayor will end in 2012.

Tom Au – Mayor Pro-Tem
Tom Au is the Mayor Pro-Tem for the Town of Bayfield.  He is employed as a surveyor and has lived in Town since 1998.  Tom was elected to the Town Board in April of 2006 and was appointed as Mayor Pro-Tem in April of 2008.  His term will end in 2010.

Justin Talbot 
Justin Talbot is a Town Board Member.  He is employed by a local power company and has lived in Town since 1974.  Justin was elected to the Town Board in April of 2008.  His term will end in 2012. 

Dan Ford
Dan Ford is a Town Board Member.  He is the bank president for a local bank and has lived in Town since 1988.  Dan was elected to the Town Board Member in April of 2008.  His term will end in 2012. 

Debbi Renfro
Debbi Renfro, P.E.  is a Town Board Member.  She is a Civil Engineer and has lived in Town since 1998.  Debbi was appointed to the Town Board in May of 2008.  Her term will end in 2010.

Gabe Candelaria
Gabe Candelaria is a Town Board Member. He owns a local construction company and has lived in Town since 2008. Gabe was appointed to the Town Board in October of 2009. His term will end in 2012.

Brandon Luter
Brandon is a Town Board Member. He has lived in Bayfield his whole life. Brandon was appointed to the Town Board in December of 2009. His term will end in 2010.

The Mayor and Town Board members do not have offices at Town Hall.

Town Board meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month @ 7:00 p.m. All meetings are held in the Board Room of Bayfield Town Hall located at 1199 US Highway 160B, unless otherwise posted.  The public is welcome to attend meetings and address the Mayor and Town Board.
