The Following is a list of activities and programs that take place at the Pine River Senior Center

Bingo- The game, Bingo, is played every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month right after lunch (about 1pm or 1:30pm).

Upper Pine River Fire District- The Fire Department comes to the Senior Center every Wednesday for a free senior blood pressure check. The fire department usually arrives around 11:30am.

Card-Making Class-A group meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10:30am, to make creative cards! The class is only $1 to cover the cost of the materials. The instructor brings all the materials you will need. Just show up at 11am with your creative cap on! (Sign-up sheet located in the Activities Binder at the Senior Center or call 884-5415).

Watch Your Step! Exercise Class- The instructor is Jean Elliott. Class is $15 for 12 weeks (That's only 50 cents a class!). This class is a great way to work on balance, flexibility and strength. Also, this is a chance to get to know other Senior Citizens. Class will be held every Wednesday and Friday, 10:15am - 11:15am. It's not too late to sign-up! (Sign-up sheet located in the Activities Binder at the Senior Center or call 884-5415).

Traveling Nurse (Outreach Nurse Program)- There is a traveling nurse; who visits the Senior Center every 1st Wednesday of the month from about 10:30am to 12pm.

Worleys Music Entertainment- The Worleys play on the 2nd Friday of every month before lunch. Let's thank the Worley's for all their support at the Pine River Senior Center!

Mexican Train Dominoes- Every Wednesday, after lunch, a table will be set up in the Dining Hall for a fun game of Mexican-Train Dominoes. Never played before? Doesn't matter! It's a game that can easily be learned. Join us for a a game to help settle our stomachs after lunch.

Adventures in Dining- A dining trip is scheduled once a month for the Seniors. La Plata County transportation sends a bus to the Pine River Senior Center for pick-up. The average cost of the bus ride is $8, depending on the destination. Don't forget to bring money to pay for your dinner! The monthly dining trip location varies month to month and also depends on the weather. The seniors have traveled to Durango, Pagosa Springs, and even Farmington to enjoy a night out with friends. Bridge Club- A group of seniors meet on Tuesday mornings, 9:30am-11:30am, at the Pine Rive Senior Center for a free game of Bridge. Experienced and Learners are welcome to join. Please feel free to stop by on Tuesdays mornings at the Senior Center or call 884-5415 for more information.

Veterans Services—Richard Schleeter with the La Plata County Veterans Service
Office will be at the Senior Center on the 4th Friday of the month at 10:00am to visit
with any veterans that may have questions about what benefits and services are available
to them.
