Municipal Court

Overview

The Town of Bayfield’s Municipal Court is committed to the administration of justice with equality, fairness, and integrity.

The Bayfield Municipal Court administers judicial operations of the Town in accordance with the Town's ordinances and Colorado Revised Statutes.

Types of cases heard in Bayfield Municipal Court include traffic, parking, animal, and other municipal code violations. The Town enforces minor offenses that violate the Model Traffic Code or the Bayfield Town Code. Bayfield Municipal Court does not hear civil or felony cases.
